Swinging has been popular in many cultures and countries for centuries. It’s relatively new in the United States. Even with that said, it’s been around for several decades.
Sexual Revolution of the 60s
In the 60s and 70s many people started to discover their sexuality, and the immense pleasure it can bring to be open. This led to a revolution for the swingers communities. It became much easier to find swingers parties and events, and opened the door to swingers clubs opening all over the US. While most of these clubs have since been closed, the community is still very much alive. In fact, the mistakes from the previous decades have led to safer events and knowledge about swinging in a healthy way.
Finding Clubs Today
There are thousands of swingers clubs across the United States today. They are no longer only found in larger metropolitan areas. Medium sized cities typically have several clubs, and even some smaller towns have an open swinging community. If you live in a small town in the US you can find clubs within driving distance by just using the web to locate clubs and parties nearby.
Going to a Club
The swingers clubs in the US aren’t much different than the clubs in other countries. Most have specific rules and guidelines regarding activity and safe sex. Most will also charge a fee to get in, but this fee usually just covers operating costs. If it’s your first time going to a club, just let the staff know. Everyone was a new swinger at some point and the staff and other patrons will be open to showing you around and allowing you to explore.
